Ingredients

Frozen pizza rolls or mini pizza rolls. You can follow the directions on the package for cooking the pizza rolls. Totino’s Pizza Rolls are a good brand as well as Amy’s Pizza Snacks.

Optional spray oil. This recipe doesn’t call for oil but if you want to add spray olive oil to the bottom of the air fryer pan, you can spray on a piece of parchment paper and place it on top of the air fryer tray.

Dipping sauce and toppings. As an added bonus, you can add ranch dressing as a dipping sauce for your pizza rolls, cheese dip, or use your favorite favorite dipping sauce.

Directions

Step 1 Preheat air fryer to 380°F (190°C)

Some air fryers may say there is no need to preheat them, but for frozen foods, I recommend preheating your air fryer for better results

Step 2: Place pizza rolls in the air fryer

Add the pizza rolls in a single layer. Make sure that the rolls are not overlapping or piled up on top of each other as the cooking time may take a little bit longer. You’ll want to make sure you shake the basket a few times so that the pizza rolls cook evenly.

Step 3: Air Fryer Pizza Rolls

Air fry pizza rolls for 5-8 minutes until they are golden brown. Check frequently so you don’t overcook them.

Step 4: Serve on a Serving Platter

Let them cool for 5 minutes and then these crispy pizza rolls are now ready to eat!

How Long To Cook Pizza Rolls In The Air Fryer?

It can be difficult knowing the exact time to cook pizza rolls in the air fryer. Different brands will vary for cook time. It also depends on how many pizza rolls you’re cooking at one time and the model you are using.

Some great options for air fryers include the Ninja Foodi Air Fryer and the COSORI Air Fryer. With these brands, the cook time will be closer to 5 minutes. Less powerful models will take longer to cook.

You will know if the pizza rolls have cooked for too long if they have burst inside the air fryer. If this happens, an easy step to remember is to make sure you cook them for a minute or two less next time.

Serving

Once the pizza rolls have cooked, serve them with your favorite dipping sauce. I actually like them plain, but you can try adding them to ranch dressing, BBQ sauce or even sour cream.

Here are some other ideas you can use to add to your pizza rolls:

  • Sprinkle with parmesan cheese when taking them right out of the oven
  • Add herbs and red chili flakes on top of the parmesan for an added kick!
  • Sprinkle your favorite cheese blend on top
  • Add pesto drizzle over your pizza rolls

Remember that pizza rolls are hot, especially on the inside when you take them out of the oven. Use caution and wait at least 5 minutes before serving them!

STORING AND REHEATING

Store any leftover pizza rolls in an airtight container. You can store them in the refrigerator and use them within 3 days.

When reheating the pizza bites, reheat them in the air fryer for about 2 minutes. I don’t recommend reheating them in the microwave as they won’t be as crispy as they would when reheating in the air fryer.

Notes

  1. For extra crispy rolls, you can use olive oil spray to spray the rolls, but this is unnecessary as they will come out crispy in the air fryer
  2. Some air fryers will vary in cook time. Check after 2-3 minutes to see if your pizza rolls are browning and/or need to be flipped. Some air fryers require turning food halfway while others don’t.
