Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white grape juice
  • ½ cup kiwi juice or fresh blended kiwi
  • ½ cup coconut milk for a creamy finish
  • ½ cup green tea brewed or cooled
  • 1 tbsp simple syrup or to taste
  • ½ cup freeze-dried kiwi or fresh kiwi
  • ½ cup freeze-dried starfruit or fresh starfruit
  • ½ cup ice cubes
  • ¼ tsp citric acid optional, for tartness
  • ½ tsp vanilla syrup optional, for extra flavor

Instructions

  • Brew and cool the tea. Steep 1 green tea bag in 1/2 cup hot water, then let it cool completely.
  • Blend kiwi and starfruit (if using fresh fruit) until smooth. Strain for a cleaner texture.
  • In a cocktail shaker, add the white grape juice, kiwi juice, starfruit juice, cooled green tea, simple syrup, and citric acid (if using). Shake well.
  • Pour in the coconut milk and gently stir (don’t shake).
  • Fill a tall glass with ice cubes and fresh or freeze-dried kiwi and starfruit pieces. Pour the drink over the ice.
  • Add extra fruit slices on top and a splash of vanilla syrup if desired!
  • Enjoy!

Notes

Coconut Milk Separation:
  • Since coconut milk is naturally thicker, it may separate in the drink over time. To prevent this, stir gently before drinking or blend for a smooth texture.
Using Fresh Fruit vs. Store-Bought Juice:
  • If you don’t have fresh kiwi or starfruit, you can use 100% store-bought kiwi juice and starfruit juice. However, fresh fruit gives the drink a more authentic, vibrant flavor.
  • For a smoother texture, strain blended fresh fruit to remove pulp.
Adjusting Sweetness & Acidity:
  • If the drink tastes too tart, add more simple syrup, vanilla syrup, or honey.
  • If you want a more tangy flavor, add extra citric acid or a squeeze of lime juice.
Caffeine Content:
  • This recipe uses green tea for a light caffeine boost. If you want a stronger energy boost, use green coffee extract powder (like Starbucks Refreshers).
  • For a caffeine-free version, replace green tea with extra white grape juice.
Serving Size Adjustments:
  • This recipe makes 2 servings (about 16 oz each).
  • To make a larger batch, simply double or triple the ingredients.
Storage & Make-Ahead Tips:
  • Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours in an airtight container.
  • Shake or stir before serving if stored, as separation may occur.
How to Make It More Refreshing:
  • Freeze kiwi juice or white grape juice into ice cubes and use them in the drink for an extra boost of flavor as they melt.
